Is it a dermal filler?
Profhilo is not a dermal filler, it has opened up a unique new category, referred to as bio-remodelling. Profhilo truly is a unique product and was awarded the Aesthetics Award for Product Innovation of the Year.
Dermal fillers have traditionally been used to restore lost volume and/or contour the face. Profhilo, on the other hand, stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin via its slow release of Hyaluronic acid. As a result of this, you can expect a more youthful, plump, and hydrated look.
How many sessions do I need and how much does it cost?
For best results we recommend 2-3 sessions, 4 weeks apart. One maintenance session is required every 6 months.
Can I have wrinkle reduction injections at the same time?
Yes, absolutely! We often use anti-wrinkle injections (such as Botox, Dysport/Azzalure) to treat the upper face and Profhilo for the lower half of the face.
Whether you have both treatments at the same session or separately is something you can discuss in detail with your doctor.
In which areas can Profhilo be used?
The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck. However, it can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for both men and women.
