What is Morpheus 8 ?
Morpheus 8 is an FDA approved and scientifically proven skin tightening and fat remodelling treatment, combining Radio Frequency (RF) technology with micro-needling to target signs of ageing by restoring collagen, elastin and targeting adipose tissue to contour and lift skin.
Morpheus 8 is safe for all skin types and can be applied anywhere on the face and body, although it’s most famous for the face, jaw and neckline. It is minimally invasive and has minimal to no downtime.
The Morpheus 8 microneedles go deeper than any other RF device on the market and can help in reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, reduce scars and tighten skin laxity. It works by delivering radiofrequency via small needles which cause miniscule trauma to the skin – this in turn stimulates the body’s natural healing process, resulting in the production of collagen and elastin. Yes – this device can deliver more dramatic results much more quickly since it combines two modalities (heat based radio-frequency with micro-needling). Morpheus8 also allows for deeper penetration than traditional micro-needling, meaning we can achieve more dramatic results.
We are one of the few clinics in Crouch End, North London to offer Morpheus8. As the treatment is delivered by our highly skilled doctor, he can customise each session according to your skin concerns to achieve the best results using the safest protocols.
Following treatment, it usually takes three weeks to see results however as Morpheus8 stimulates your own collagen production, you will continue to see improvements month on month depending on the type of treatment and number of sessions. Results will vary depending on a range of factors including age, skin concerns and number and frequency of treatments.
A topical numbing cream is applied to the area prior to treatment and while you may experience some discomfort, the pain will be minimal. After the treatment, you can go about your day and will not require downtime, however, we advise you to stay out of the sun for 72 hours and avoid using any cream or make-up on the skin during this time. After this, we recommend you use sunscreen daily on the area treated.
While you can see results from just one session, we advise between 2 – 3 sessions, depending on your skin condition and concern being targeted, however for optimum results, we recommend three sessions at 4 – 6 week intervals. Usually patients require one maintenance session every 12 – 18 months.
